Our Studio

Ar² architects ltd is an exciting and dynamic architectural practice which has been built on the fundamental belief that good sustainable design coupled with a quality service delivery is the key to success for any architectural practice.

With a contemporary design philosophy, ar² takes pride in building long-term relationships with everyone that the practice is involved with and is able to offer its experience to provide design solutions for Public, Private and Commercial projects over a range of building use classes.

The practice remains deliberately small and feels this approach promotes a personal ‘Partnering’ arrangement with clients to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within an agreed budget and exceed our client’s expectations. Our size not only allows us to remain client orientated but also creates a studio ‘Think Tank’ environment to ensure that we have a thorough understanding of the technical design and detailing requirements for each individual project.

We strive to promote modern and sustainable architecture that respects its natural context and environment whilst challenging the constraints of modern practice to enhance the urban fabric, promote economic growth and ultimately our clients business.

ar² is headed by Robert Barrett who is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and has been within the architectural profession for over seventeen years. Former project experience ranges from small-scale interior design schemes and domestic house extensions to large multiple storey residential, commercial, educational & mixed use architecture. Our other services also include master planning solutions, building surveys, 3D visualisations and external landscape projects.
